I watched this and thought you 'cleaned his clock' - PBL - That guy came across like a spoiled super-specialist making a lot of bucks - although perhaps being a urologist would just 'p#@s him off - eh?

But when a donor and desperately sick person are matched up, living donors should not be “punished” for their gift, especially by the health insurance industry.

VoteHealthcare.org Dressed in our Sunday best, we spread the Word to Senator Isakson's fellow church members that denying healthcare is immoral. We distributed more than 125 flyers to churchgoers who were pleasantly receptive. A few angry naysayers insisted that the police be called, but we stayed within the bounds of the law and evaded arrest.

VoteHealthcare.org Health care protesters get creative -- We need this sort of thing all over the country!

John Mackey, the CEO of Whole Foods has argued that American workers do not deserve a health care system. We believe that heath care should be affordable for everyone, not just rich people. So Mr. ...

Pretty ironic that the CEO of Whole Foods would make a statement like that! He actually wrote in the WSJ: "A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter. That's because there isn't any. This "right" has never existed in America." As if something not explicitly written in cannot exist. Emma Goldman would approve of this protest: If I can't dance . . . !

Compelling presentation. Why is it that even conservatives in Canada and Europe think health care is a shared responsibility for the good of all, but some U.S. citizens want people to suffer because they don't have a job that provides healthcare coverage, thus they're undeserving. I just don't get how we got so mean-spirited.

VoteHealthcare.org There is no limit to health insurers' creativity: Deny coverage to women who are victims of domestic abuse.

www.huffingtonpost.com
With the White House zeroing in on the insurance-industry practice of discriminating against clients based on pre-existing conditions, administration allies are calling attention to how broadly insurers interpret the term to maximize profits.
Susan

The states that allow that are adding to the already huge fears of victimized women about reporting their abuse. Surprising that some states don't allow "womanhood" as a pre-existing condition.
