WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team For those excited about snow...sorry. More in the forecast against snow than for it. Gulf moisture will work in tonight, but mainly on the South Shore where temps will not be cold enough. Where it will be cold enough, North, will not see as much moisture. A few flakes likely, but not on the South Shore. A chilly weekend and mostly sunny! - Meteorologist Chris Franklin
WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team Snow cast really isn't looking too impressive. Yes we have the set up we need with very cold air and a Gulf low to pull in overrunning moisture, but its not quite as perfect as Dec 11 last year. One issue is timing will be in the middle of the night Fri into Sat so those of you who want to see it would have to wait u...p, then wake the kids. WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team Much colder this morning and mostly sunny through the day! But what's on everyone's mind is the snow potential. The wintery weather is possible late Friday/early Saturday as the coldest air this season reaches the area, while at the same time a Gulf low brings in moisture. WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team Clouds are hanging around so overnite lows should be no worse than 45-50. High, thin clouds will make for filtered sunshine on Thursday. Chilly temps 55-60. WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team After a nasty Tuesday, some nicer weather on the way! Temps today will remain relatively unchanged...high near 60 as morning temps start in the mid 50s. A strengthening ridge from the west will allow for clearing skies tonight and colder, drier air to reach the area. Tomorrow expect sunny skies and a high of 58. Snow F...riday night...? WVUE/FOX 8 Weather Team Plenty of clouds and chilly temperatures around, but that's nothing compared to the nasty weather we expect. A low pressure system develops along the frontal boundary. Most areas will see 2-3" of rain, but some may see as much as 5". Keep a close watch on tomorrow afternoon's weather.
