Just subscribed to the 1370 Connection podcast and really enjoyed hearing the interview with Bill Pullman the actor from "Space Balls" and "Independence Day".

I was sad to hear about Midtown Plaza being dismantled but am glad that the clock was going to survive at the airport.

Bob Smith sounded in good form and as always asking the most probing questions which Bill Pullman fielded in good fashion.

I had a good feeling listening to a program which personifies Rochester for me.

Historic Pubs of Dublin

Historic Pubs of Dublin, airing Sunday, March 16 at 5 p.m., takes viewers on an exciting and visually stunning tour of Dublin’s most notable historic pubs, as well as the many places of interest that surround them. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes)serves as tour guide, providing valuable insight into Irish culture and history — and the significance the Irish pub plays in both areas. This program teaches future travelers how to make the most of their visit to Dublin.

Don't miss this new documentary to learn why Dublin is a great place to quench your thirst for history, beautiful sights, warm and wonderful people, and, of course, a good pint!

Features a great interactive site: http://www.iptv.org/promo/pubs/

Coming to WXXI in April

About Carrier

CARRIER, a 10-part series filmed aboard the USS Nimitz, is a character-driven immersion in the high stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. The programs follow a core group of characters, from the admiral of the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of passage and the war on terror. Filmed in high-definition video from May to November 2005 during a deployment to the Persian Gulf, CARRIER takes a raw and personal look at the Navy’s role in this controversial war.

Thanks for the link and I will try it today at noon.

It's great to see WXXI on the internet and offering your shows. It makes it possible for a Rochesterian living in other parts of the world to have a little taste of home while away. It will be great when you get those podcasts going too.. then we can download them to mobile devices and listen wherever we go.

Thanks for your reply and for your keeping WXXI a player in the latest technological milieu.

Hi, Dave! Bob Smith is still on the air! Every weekday from noon to 2pm. His show is 1370 Connection. More info about it is here: http://wxxi.org/talk1370/

We do have some of his shows podcasted at this time, but not every episode. Visit this link: http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wxxi/.jukebox?action=viewPodcast&podcastId=6663

We do plan to begin podcasting all shows, however, we have to clear some technical hurdles first. If you keep an eye on the page linked to above, you should be able to tell when that begins! Thanks for your note!
