The free event will be held at 10 am at the Public Works Operations Center, 234 Friendship Chapel Road. The water conservation initiative is expected to save over 100,000 gallons of water/year.

Town of Wake Forest, NC NORTHERN REGIONAL CENTER TO OFFER NASAL H1N1 VACCINE The Wake County Northern Regional Center (NRC), 350 E. Holding Ave., will provide the nasal H1N1 vaccine free of charge to persons ages two to 49 on Thursday, Oct. 8 from 9 am - 3 pm or until supplies run out. NC LAW TO BAN PLASTIC BOTTLES FROM LANDFILLS
The Town of Wake Forest is reminding residents that beginning Oct. 1, all plastic bottles with a neck smaller than the container itself will be prohibited from entering North Carolina landfills. Wake Forest’s curbside recycling program accepts both PET (#1) and HDPE (#2) plastics, so do your party by disposing of them in your rollout recycling cart.

Rain or shine, the Town of Wake Forest is sponsoring a FREE Bicycle Safety Fair this Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm at the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club. The event will teach safe bicycle riding skills to children ages 5 to 14 & their parents. Children will learn safe riding techniques & how to avoid various road hazards.
