Walpole Footlighters
The Walpole Footlighters will be holding auditions for the play, “Pack of Lies,” by Hugh Whitmore, directed by Frank Moffett, on November 8 and 9 at 7:00 pm, with callbacks on the 11th at 7:00 pm . Readings will be from the script. Actors are encouraged to use a standard British accent, except for the roles of the Kro...gers.
Based on a true story and set in a suburb of London during the early 1960’s, “Pack of Lies” is story of a middle class family, Bob and Barbara Jackson, and their daughter, Julie, who are visited by an MI5 agent. The Jacksons are forced to allow their house to be used as an undercover surveillance post to spy on their close, friendly neighbors, the Krogers, who are suspected of being part of a Soviet spy ring. The play is about friendship, conflicting loyalties, deception, treachery, and the emotional cost of maintaining deceit. The Jacksons’ simple happiness is shattered as their lives are dramatically changed by the anguish of betrayal and mistrust.

Walpole Footlighters The "Dixie" set was completed before the actors stepped on the stage for the first rehearsal! Thanks to Set Designer and Master Carpenter Roger Pettis with carpentry assistance from Dan Sheehan, a gorgeous Outer Banks summer cottage was all ready for the "Dixie Swim Club" cast to rehearse on. "Dixie Swim Club", which opens October 9th, is a hilarious comedy you won't want to miss.
