About Me:
When I first arrived in Fayetteville in 1986 to direct a study regarding the preservation of Old Main, I developed a passion for the city, its people, and its uniqueness. In 2000 my wife, Linda, and I chose to move to Fayetteville as the place to spend our lives together. I became actively involved and immersed myself in the community.

I chose to run for mayor during a time Fayetteville faces significant financial, strategic planning and growth challenges. As Fayetteville’s mayor I will collaborate with the City Council and community to creatively address these and other challenges.

My goal is to chart Fayetteville’s future by balancing growth, diversifying our revenue base, and enhancing the quality of life for the city's citizens. My passion, combined with my skills, will help keep Fayetteville among the most livable cities in America.
