Waltonwood at Cherry Hill will be holding a classic car show and silent auction on Friday, June 26, to raise money and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The senior community will host approximately 25 classic cars provided by Americas Most Wanted Car Club as well as a silent auction with items donated... from local businesses. All proceeds from the event will be given to the Alzheimer’s Association’s Greater Michigan Chapter to provide education, training and support services for individuals with Alzheimer’s and their families in the local community.
Alzheimer disease affects over 5.3 million Americans, over 75,000 of which are in the Detroit metropolitan area. Alzheimer's and dementia are also tripling healthcare costs for Americans age 65 and older who are diagnosed.
