      National Arts Advocacy Day was capped off today in Brooklyn with the unveiling and release of the official Mister ArtSee US postage stamp and commemorative First Day of Issue Postcard. Brooklyn's main Boroug...h Hall Post Office was bustling with participants and onlookers as local school children and Elizabeth Koch (Arts and Culture Specialist at Brooklyn Borough President's Office) helped ArtSee founder Elliott Arkin present the 44 cent first-class US postage stamp in recognition of the important role that art, art education, and art awareness has in America's society.

      .....There are two different colored stamps and each version will be produced in an edition of only 500 First Day Postcards......Each postcard will be signed and numbered...the money raised will go to create public art programs for children and a portion will go towards the Arts Action Fund with the Americans for the Arts www.artsactionfund.org ......The ArtSee First Day of Issue postcard will be offered as a thank you for a 60$ donation (50$ tax deductible) to Mister Artsee.....Now you can own a piece of history!
