Cork Wine Bar Rewind: The Rammy Awards
By Kate Nerenberg Published Monday, June 08, 2009

Best acceptance speech: Khalid Pitts, whose wine bar, Cork, won for Best New Restaurant, refused to cut his thank-you list short. After about a minute, music started playing, Oscars style, to politely encourage him to wrap up his speech. “Oh, no,” he said, “don’t turn on that music. This is my time.”

Piedmont Wine Tasting at
CORK Wine Bar
Featuring Winemaker Mauro Fracchia

Mr. Fracchia, a fourth generation winemaker, makes wines in the Monferrato area of Piedmont, under the principles that have guided his family for almost 100 years. He will be talking about his wines, which are true to the terrior and represent th...e diversity of Piedmont varietals.

We will taste refreshing whites made from Cortese, Chardonnay and Muller-Thurgau, explore the depths of Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon, and finish with a sweet surprise from the rare Malvasia grape.

This tasting is $20 and attendance will be limited to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of our guests.
