To celebrate the Terra Cotta Warrior's arrival to DC, the Willard has re-imagined their Peacock Alley promenade to reflect Chinoiserie, the 17th &18th-century Western aesthetic representing fanciful European interpretations of Chinese styles. They have also revamped their tea menu with European and Chinese flavors lik...e ginger & fresh fruit petit fours and Mandarin mousse & green tea meringues. A broad array of Chinese teas have been added to the traditional tea offerings. The Willard’s Tea Chinois is priced at $39 per person, or $49 with a glass of Champagne, and will be offered daily Nov. 14 through Dec. 31 from 1pm … and Jan. 2 through Feb. 14 (Fridays to Sundays only) from 2:30pm.
