Jaymz Bondurant

Jaymz Bondurant Just a little advice that I wish someone would have offered me when I joined. If you're from the south or anywhere warm and you're not used to the cold, do not, I repeat, DO NOT, go to Boot Camp in the Winter. The wind chill in Great Lakes has been known to drop to about -60 degrees in December.

OK, You Navy guys and gals, I need help. My dad and I were both Army, WWII and Vietman. My father in law was a Navy Seabee. We have service display boards for Dad and me and are trying to do one for the wife's dad. We have his Ruptured Duck pins form both the regular Navy and the reserves. And his dog tag, I don't... think the Navy called them a dog tag. I cannot find what his rank insignia is other than a petty officer. Don't know what the keys mean and can't find where I can obtain a pair. I can't get the picture to load. The insignia is 2 upside down red chevrons with an eagle above and two crossed keys between.Read More

Well that's a petty officer second class and the keys would be the rating (same as a MOS for the army). You might wanna wikipedia navy ratings but I think two crossed keys is storekeeper.

Sounds to me like your discribing a Logistics Specialist 2nd Class. Better know in the Navy as a Storekeeper or Supply Clerk. Also a great website to find out more information concerning military ratings, medals & awards is www.military.com
