I miss the crabcakes from Blackbeards. They were the best. Almost 10 years and I have not found any that were better.

Washington is my home town, graduated from WHS 1967. I spent the better part of my teen years wanting to move from what I felt was small town USA, and did in 1968. Now after 40+ yrs living in other areas of NC, SC, FL, Puerto Rico, GA, AL, TX and back to FL, I would love to move back to "Little Washington", but with the state of the economy not ... See Moreable to now. In response to the person re: "Little Washington", I always felt it was an affectionate term in reference to the comparison in the size to Washington, DC, like "The Original Washington ;-)

Washington, NC on the Pamlico Up to nine different galleries and art studios in downtown Washington are expected to participate. Each site will offer the public a fresh look at what they have to offer as well as introduce some locations to the public for the first time. Participating galleries and studios include Art Tyndall Studio, Cat Bamboo, L...TD., Ciera Silver/Notes Café, Crabby’s Stained Glass & Collectibles, IBX Artisans’ Center, Lane Gift Shop & Gallery, Lone Leaf Gallery & Custom Framing, Riverwalk Gallery, and Thou Art. According to BCAC Executive Director Joey Toler, the planning process for the event has been one of discovery. “There were a couple of locations that I had little or no idea existed, so this is a great opportunity to introduce these establishments as a cohesive arts community to the public.”
