Waste Reduction Week in Canada Re-gift as the new 3rd R?

www.simplegreenaction.ca
When money is tight, what can you give? When you are trying to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle, how do you give eco-friendlier? The unusual answer to both those questions is to try out the lesser known 'R' - Re-gifting. It may sound crazy or cheap, but there is a time and place for re-gifting.

Waste Reduction Week in Canada The holiday season is a wonderful time, but also one of the most wasteful times of the year. In our family, we are pooling our efforts to make sure everyone gets one wonderful gift that they will cherise for years and using reusable gift bags instead of wrapping paper. What are you doing to reduce waste during the holidays? We'd all love to hear your ideas.

I've done this for sometime. This is one of the easiest ways to keep all of those darned plastic bags from piling up.

I usually take a bagpack for my groceries and reusable cloth bags. The clerks are already used to it and don't ask anymore if I would like to have a plastic bag.
