Mary I am a fan of Waxahachie, it has such a rich history and I may be moving there sometime in the near future. We've found a couple of places we are looking at.
Jeanne My husband (Larry Moseley) and I graduated from WHS in 1966, married there and still own our home of 26 years. Larry's career move meant purchasing a home in the Austin area, and while we've been intending to sell our 103 year old home...just keep putting it off for some reason. Some of the best neighborhoods in Waxah...achie are in the historic district, and I bet there are many new residents who have never seen the treasured historic homes.

Tom For the students at WHS in 2008 and town citizens who were cast as extras, the movie filmed at The Rogers Hotel and City Hall, "The Beacon", is coming to ShowBiz Cinema on Friday, November 13th.
Melissa If you have to live in the DFW area, this is probably one of the best (if not the best) town to live in. I love the history here. It is also nice that the town tries to preserve the history rather than modernize it like most American towns now days. I was not born here nor raised, but have lived in one of the histor...ic homes for almost 10 years now. We do not plan on staying in Waxahachie or Texas for that matter, but Waxahachie will always hold a special place in my heart. BTW, I live next door to the house that was in the movie "Places In The Heart".
