Weatherford College More than 460 runners braved early morning drizzle and nippy weather and made this year’s 15th annual Weatherford College Coyote Chase Race another success Nov. 21. The School Challenge was won, once again, by Mary Martin Elementary of the Weatherford ISD, which brought about 100 runners. Angel Soriano of Weatherford... won the Men’s Overall with a time of 16.04 in the 5K and Tara McCall of Weatherford won the Women’s Overall with a time of 20.03. The Men and Women Master’s Overall for those 40 and over were won by David Holtsford of Lipan, 18.19, and Merry Wolf of Windthorst, with a time of 21.13.

Weatherford College The Weatherford College Criminal Justice/Forensic Science Department Coordinator Tim Poston and 31 students recently toured the Texas Criminal Justice Departments Crain Unit in Gatesville. The unit houses female inmates who are involved in many rehabilitation programs. The unit is home to the Patriot Paws program that ...trains guide dogs for veterans in need of physical assistance. The group also visited the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco and learned about Texas Law Enforcement history.

Weatherford College Two Weatherford College students have been selected as two of only 30 recipients from more than 140 applicants for $500 scholarships from the Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP). Aimee Davis of Perrin and Michael Morgan are alumni of the WC Upward Bound program and currently participants in th...e Student Support Services Program. Both programs are a part of the Federal TRIO Programs.
