Great Chefs of Los Angeles is a celebration of the city's best chefs, tastemakers and vintners featuring great food, wine, music and auction -- all to benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California. The signature "Go Green, Go Organic" theme of Great Chefs promotes chefs and artisans who are leaders i...n using locally grown organic ingredients, and utilizes eco-friendly, sustainable products wherever possible. Honorary Chairs George Lopez, a survivor of kidney disease, and his wife Ann Lopez will host the afternoon’s festivities. “After receiving the gift of life, a kidney transplant from my loving wife Ann in 2005, we joined forces with the National Kidney Foundation in the fight against kidney disease,” says George Lopez. “Our goal has always been to spread awareness about preventative measures against the disease and the need for organ donation.
