“Street Lights” is focused on shining the inner light within, no matter what our position in life. By engaging the skid row community and working in partnership with residents and artists, our intention is to inspire, support and uplift those who are all too often overlooked in our society.
We intend to create an atmo...sphere of celebration, self-love, appreciation and beauty through music, art, and inspirational messages by spiritual and civic leaders. Our vision includes an outdoor mini-concert by the 150-voice Agape International Choir, a Health Faire with free health screening, a Day Spa with free Barber and Beauty Shop services, Creative Art processes, Counseling, Information Booths, Workshops on personal empowerment, a Community Mural, Prayer Circles and so forth. The vision also includes providing a “Gifts that Lift” Bag of toiletries, socks, toothbrushes and gloves, a healthy snack, and other items that will support and inspire the vast majority of people living on Skid Row.

The donations really go to good use because many of our male participants are looking for work and going on job interviews. Now we have some appropriate attire to give them. But, we are always in need of men's business attire, so clean out those closets...

I certainly acknowledge the work that you are dong in Los Angeles! We have a lot of work to do on the planet! However, we must do what we can, where we are with what we have. I serve in the Palm Springs, Coachella Valley community and tithe to The Well in the Desert, a grass roots organization that feeds and clothes... the homeless of the area.
