Expect push back from the pesticide industry – so make your voice heard between now and February 15, 2010. West Coast is joining the Canadian Cancer Society and others in calling for a real ban on cosmetic pesticides in BC.

requires industries emitting more than 10000 tonnes of GHG to report
them to government. An important first step - not perfect, but better
than the 25000 tonne reporting requirement proposed by Ontario and the
Western Climate Initiative.

VICTORIA – A new provincial regulation coming into effect Jan. 1, 2010, will require all facilities in British Columbia that emit over 10,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases (GHGs) annually to publically report their emissions, Environment Minister Barry Penner announced.
