Non-Equity Auditions: Tuesday, August 25, 10:00am-6:00pm

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance, the consortium of the state’s professional (Actor’s Equity) theatres, will hold auditions in New Brunswick, NJ on Monday,... August 24th, 10:00am-6:00pm, for Equity performers; and Tuesday, August 25th , 10:00am-6:00pm, for non-Equity performers. Over 25 professional theatres are expected to be in attendance. To enter the lottery, follow the rules and procedures below – failure to comply with all rules/procedures will result in automatic disqualification:
• Submit a headshot and resume
• Include a Self-Addressed, stamped #10 envelope (SASE)
• If a member of Equity, include a photocopy of your current AEA membership card
• Please add the following sorting codes after your name in your return address on the outside envelope, not the #10 SASE:
Equity Male –EM
Non Equity Male - NEM
Equity Female –EF
Non Equity Female -NEF
If you plan to sing at your audition, add –S
NJ Resident or people with access to NJ Housing, add –NJ

Theatre ROCKS! is a program of the NJ Theatre Alliance specifically designed for Young Professionals who enjoy theatre but can't afford to go as often as they might like. Each Theatre ROCKS! event is specially priced at $25 which includes a theatre ticket and a private reception where you can mingle with other Theatre... ROCKERS.

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance, the consortium of New Jersey's professional theatres, announces a DESIGNER AND STAGE MANAGER SHOWCASE. University students entering the field and experienced designers are eligible. The Showcase will be held on Friday, May 1st, 2009, 12:30-3pm at Premiere Stages at Kean University, Un...ion, NJ which is accessible by public transportation. Designers will be given the opportunity to display portfolios and/or models and speak to representatives from New Jersey's professional theatres. Stage Managers are also welcome to interview with representatives. Professional theatres expected to be in attendance include McCarter Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Paper Mill Playhouse, George Street Playhouse, 12 Miles West and many others.

Participation is free, but pre-registration is required. ENTRY WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS DUE TO SPACE RESTRICTIONS you will be notified if you receive a space. Theatre ROCKers came out to see the irreverent, campy delight that was The Santaland Diaries @ Luna Stage Company on December 13th.

Actor Harry Patrick Christian visited with the ROCKers after the event, and Luna Stage trustee (and fabulous man/awesome, well-know actor) Frankie Faison donned Santa garb and posed for p...hotos with the merry participants ... spreading that holiday cheer.

ROCKers each brought a toy to donate to Toys for Tots through our event partner Team Charity, so the fun and good vibes will spread.
