Just recently, the owner of 312 Spring Street, Sayed Halabi, told the Charles River/Spring Valley Neighborhood Association that he intended to open a family-owned and operated convenience store. Today's WR Bulletin reports there's been a change of plans, and now a nail salon will... be opening at the site. Why the about face? Feel free to share your thoughts and comments.

The area from Spring street to the VFW Parkway has not benefited from the renewal efforts, and as such has launched an ambitious effort called ..."The Gateway Project" to ensure that this area, too, gets the makeover it deserves.

Century 21 Carole White Associates The Fall 2009 season of Chef's Table Series hosted in the Vintage Room, at Blanchard's Wines & Spirits in West Roxbury was a great success! Many attended and enjoyed the time they had! Learning the secrets from top chefs, participating in the actual preparation of the dishes and cooking! $515.00 was raised from the fou...r cooking demos to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Blanchard's Wines and Spirits will donate the proceeds. Carol O'Connor of TableCritic, Inc. plans to hold another Chef's Table Series in Winter 2010.
