Just recently, the owner of 312 Spring Street, Sayed Halabi, told the Charles River/Spring Valley Neighborhood Association that he intended to open a family-owned and operated convenience store. Opening reception is Friday night at the Longfellow House. The main event is on Saturday and Sunday throughout Roslindale. Century 21 Carole White Associates Over the past decade, West Roxbury has seen a remarkable revitalization effort along Centre Street which rivals the best of similar efforts across the neighborhoods of Boston. The area from Spring street to the VFW Parkway has not benefited from the renewal efforts, and as such has launched an ambitious effort called "The Gateway Project" to ensure that this area, too, gets the makeover it deserves.

The Fall 2009 season of Chef's Table Series hosted in the Vintage Room, at Blanchard's Wines & Spirits in West Roxbury was a great success! Many attended and enjoyed the time they had! Learning the secrets from top chefs, participating in the actual preparation of the dishes and cooking! $515.00 was raised from the fou...r cooking demos to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Blanchard's Wines and Spirits will donate the proceeds. Carol O'Connor of TableCritic, Inc. plans to hold another Chef's Table Series in Winter 2010.Read More
