WestSide Stories What with the recent mattress boon on the WestSide, we are now seeing old mattresses lying in front of houses everywhere! Regular trash pickup will not take mattresses! The secret to getting your old mattress hauled away? Call the Environmental Dep't at Public Works at 467 7950 to schedule a pickup. You can even call*for* your neighbors!

I called Waste Management on Wednesday to schedule for today. Got a confirmation number and everything. I called again at 3pm to find out if they were planning to get it today. Of course, they said.

Guess what? My box spring is still on the curb. Nice.

If a pink box spring ends up on the steps of city hall, well...I'm just sayin'.
