Western Plains Animal Refuge This is Luke, he is the newest addition to the refuge. He is an adorable 6 year old Spaniel mix and will warm your heart in this cold weather! He is a happy boy that loves to get attention and would fit in any household. You can come by and visit him anytime although he is undergoing heartworm treatment right now and i...s not quite ready to go yet. Western Plains Animal Refuge This is happy guy is Fez. He is a 12 week old domestic short-haired orange tabby. He is very friendly and loves to roll on his back when he thinks someone might be giving him attention. Fez enjoys bird watching out the window and purring when getting pets. Western Plains Animal Refuge This is a Long Eared Owl that was brought into the refuge with a broken wing last week. He is healing well and has quite the appetite! He was captured in the Plainville, KS area unable to fly. Once this guy's wing is healed he will be put in the flight pen and hopefully released soon after that. The donations to Wester...n Plains Animal Refuge that we receive helps animals like this owl that we need to keep and feed for a long period of time.

Western Plains Animal Refuge November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month. Elderly animals usually have less of a chance of being adopted compared to a younger animal.
