The 2009 PEACE BUILDER Awards is an opportunity to honor Whatcom County Citizens, Programs, Organizations, or Businesses that have demonstrated a commitment to resolving conflicts through creative and peaceful means. By doing so, they help promote the mission of the Whatcom Dispute Resolution Center in their everyday l...ives.
To nominate a Whatcom County resident or organization, fill out a nomination form, available at www.whatcomdrc.org, by September 18th, 2009. We encourage you to submit nominations early.
An Awards Ceremony, live entertainment, tasty food and a raffle to honor all award winners will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Majestic, 1027 N. Forest, Bellingham.
Raffle prizes include a romantic getaway for two at the Chrysalis Inn and Spa, a mountainside retreat at the Inn at Mt. Baker, 4 rounds of golf from North Bellingham Golf Course, and private Tango lessons for two and tickets to a formal Tango dance at the Blue Moon Ballroom.
