Custom Quilt Creation by Whimzie Quiltz

At Whimzie Quiltz, I’m dedicated to “creating the quilt you’ve always wanted”.

Your custom-made quilt should reflect exactly what you want. I listen carefully and propose designs based on your input - you choose the theme, the colors, the pattern and the size - and I work with you until we capture just what you are looking for.

Once you settle on the perfect design, I start creating your custom quilt, using 100% cotton fabric, quality thread and other specialty supplies. Your quilt is made using a tradtional sewing machine and sewn with the care and attention to detail you’d expect - after all, your custom quilt is being made by a person (me!) not mass-produced in some factory.

As always, your personalized initial designs are FREE and you are under no obligation to purchase an actual quilt if you have designs made.

WQ and You Charity Giving

Every time you request a Whimzie Quiltz design in 2009, my husband and I will donate $20 to charity:water, a non-profit bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations - as long as your design includes blue fabrics.

It costs you nothing, because Whimzie designs are free to you, but our $20 donation based on your request will help give one person clean, safe drinking water for 20 years. If you go ahead and place your quilt order, we'll contribute another $20!

With the help of caring Whimzie Quiltz customers like you, we're hoping to donate at least $500, maybe more, to charity:water in 2009. I’m looking forward to designing and creating some beautiful quilts for you this year while supporting this important cause!

Dana Markley Schlemmer Thanks so much for the adorable pillow for Gregory. I love that he can use it now to lay on and later he can put his tooth in the pocket for the tooth fairy. I am attaching a picture of him enjoying it.

All worthwhile charities but I would like to vote for Doctors Without Borders. What an admirable thing to do to donate a portion of your proceeds to charities. : )

Thanks, Beth! I know a lot of quilters who donate quilts to worthy causes, but I'm usually too busy with orders. At least this way I get to help out some.

Whimzie Quiltz and More Just finished this camp-theme t-shirt quilt – the customer’s daughter attended the same summer camp for years and had lots of fun memories tied to these colorful shirts. Do you have t-shirts (and memories!) that might make a great quilt? As you pack your summer clothes away, keep Whimzie Quiltz in mind. I’d be happy... to turn your favorites into a warm and whimzical keepsake that you can enjoy for years, too. Contact me at deidre@whimziequiltz.com today ►

Faith Gregg Evans I'm searching for a Bargello Xmas Tree Wallhanging pattern by Timeless Treasures; it was on their website for free to download but isn't there now. Have you seen it?

I'm sorry, Faith, I haven't seen it. I've designed a few Bargello quilts, though none with a holiday theme, and made a really cool autumn colored one for our nephew once. I hope you can turn it up - they are fun to make and it's always neat to see the zig zag pattern come together. Good luck!
