Whippany Railway Museum Enjoy a 45-minute train ride with the Easter Bunny and his helpers through Morris County, New Jersey (to Roseland and back). Trains depart from the Whippany Railway Museum (rain, snow, or shine) at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00 PM. In 2009, we have trains on April 4, 5, and 11.

Before or after your ride, enjoy hot drinks a...t the Snack Depot, visit the Museum building (complete with Lionel model train layout and a working coal-burning potbelly stove), and (weather permitting) visit Thomas and friends on the outdoor G-scale model train layout.

Cash-only walkup tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 12:00 noon on the day of the ride, but we strongly recommend buying your tickets online in advance (up to 11:59 PM on the Wednesday before the ride) at http://www.WhippanyRailwayMuseum.net/

Whippany Railway Museum With its regular caboose out of commission, the Morristown & Erie pressed Soo Line caboose #100 into revenue freight service on a local mixed train in October 2008.

Whippany Railway Museum Volunteers are currently restoring several pieces of equipment, including an ex-NJ Transit Delaware & Hudson bay window caboose, a refrigerated boxcar, and the "Jersey Coast" commuter passenger coach.
