Debbie Shively Hoskins I worked at Westport Drive-in and filled in at Landmark in the 70's. When was Westport Drive-in tore down for Towne West Square to be built?

Cassie Rae
I moved to Wichita in 06 from Cali and had offers to go to the drive in but never went, it was until my recent ex told me he was taking me that I finally went. Although I do hate him I enjoys that night and have been back a few time since! I can't for next summer and being able to take my niece to the drive in for the first time! I'm excited

Nancy Straub If you haven't been to the drive-in, you're really missing out! It's a comfy slice of American life.

Loretta Dean Weaver I was a member of the FIRST crew to ever work at this drive-in after it was built. I grew up just down the street. Originally, it was the Rainbow Drive-In. This theatre was torn down and rebuilt as the Landmark Drive-In which opened in 1974. I was hired at the Westport Drive-In where I worked for a few months until the... Landmark was finished. I was 15 yrs. old. Jim Quick was the manager of the Westport and Gary Quick was the manager of the Landmark. It was such a fun job. Where else could you go to work and have a built in social life too? My friends were always there when I got off work and we would watch the movies together. I am so glad the theatre lives on as the Starlite!

Ashlea Green i wish it was still open me nd my friends wanted to go last night

Joshua Daniel Herpolsheimer I have neve been to the drive-in in my life

Elliot Holloway I used to go to the drive-in we had in town where I grew up back on the East coast a lot. I was excited to see that there was one in Wichita, too. It was so cool to see "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen" at the Starlite a few weeks back!

Terry Tiger we go two or three times a summer. it all depends on what movies are playing. it is always fun to go the drivein

Brian Dwyer My first job was at the landmark drive-in! Jim Quick was my boss for three summers! It was a great place to work as a teenager. I remember when we sold the T- shirts that said DO IT AT THE DRIVE-IN... Those shirts sold out FAST!!!

Wichita Starlite Drive-In Don Ehret has worked in the Starlite Box Office for over 20 years but on August 12th, 2009 he passed away. Don was a wonderful friend who always had a story to tell. He loved life, his family and always raved about his grandkids. Don will be missed.

Angela Spain we went when i was a kid, my dad knew the manager so we would get free tickets

Traci Pfannenstiel Zupke Do you know how many people you can fit in the trunk for $10 carload weekends? In 1992 I counted 6....plus the 10 we had in the regular seats. That's before they enforced the seatbelt laws :) Keep going Starlite! We have about 3 drive-ins left in the whole state of Wisconsin. I went to the Starlite since I was abo...ut 4 and wish I could take my son too! Road trip to Kansas!

Jessica Used to go when I was a kid. Taking my kids now. Lots of fun everytime!
