I wish the best to you WildAid and hope your mission is successful

It seems that no matter what we do extinction is ipossible to avoid, the only thing that seems can be done is that we change the minds of men, and instead of just prolonging extinction,...stopping it in it's process,... seperating food from beloved creatures that are important to our survival

@Chandler: There are elements of truth to what you say, if sharks REALLY wanted to eat people going to the beach would NOT be safe - at all. Statistically you have a greater chance of getting into a car accident driving to the beach then getting attacked by a shark.

@Theresa: I have form letters 'from WildAid' from an existing shark fin soup restaurant campaign, which are specifically written to educate vendors. Would you like me to send you one?

I'm glad that the poachers were caught but it was too late as usual...many animals died. Another lesson is that poaching is not confined to just certain countries. The illegal wildlife trade is EVERYWHERE!

Mr. Benchley was always a staunch marine conservationist, and was disheartened that people missed the entire point of his book, Jaws. It's theme was simple - messing with the environment can have dire consequences (Godzilla has a similar theme).

It WASN'T sharks are tireless killing machines that eat your children -- but that's what people took... See More home, especially from the movie version.

He spent of lot of time combatting the very myths that surrounded 'Jaws', and I commend him very much for doing so. Before he died, he helped us by lending his fame to our 'predators as prey' shark campaign.

He told about alot of things that he did and trips he took in this book. He showed pictures of trips and teaches alot about the truth about sharks. ( Fun Fact): for those who don't know most shark attacks are the humans fault.

The ocean is not our territory and we should leave it to the animals that inhabit it. Instead we polute it, swim in it, ... See Moreand kill it... The ocean should be for studying and preservation only....well,... there are somethings other it can be for... but we should at least respect and treasure it...

You can't accuse Yao Ming of not using his fame for good. First there was his swearing off of shark's fin soup, which kicked off his 2006 PSA campaign for WildAid. Then, less than two months ago, he got behind anti-smoking efforts in a country where smoking is very widespread. ...
