Raven Snook in Time Out loved the first half, then thought it lost steam. Michael Musto in the Village Voice disliked the first half, but then raved about the second half. This is when you know you're in Cloud-Cuckoo Land (which incidentally is an Aristophanes reference, the sort of thing critics neglect to notice while they are busy concentrating on beach balls, much like the puppies they are)
