Nesmith Library The Library will close Wednesday, 11/25, at noon and will reopen on Saturday, 11/28, at 9:00 AM. Have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving holiday!
Nesmith Library The Teen Advisory Board is sponsoring a food drive during the month of November and will be holding a bake sale on Saturday, November 21, 9 am to 4 pm. Proceeds will be donated to the Shepherd's Pantry.

Shepherd's Pantry operates out of the Windham Presbyterian Church Hall at 1 Church Street every Monday morning between 9:30 am and 11:00 am.

Mr. Kelley will talk about the process of writing and illustrating a children's book.

In the USA, Veterans Day annually falls on November 11. This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.

Author/Editor Julie MacShane says, "Giving a poem or story as a holiday gift is one of the most powerful and personal gifts you can present to someone you care about. Penning a short story or remembrance about that person is a wonderful testament to a strong relationship. Poems of love or tribute are always appreciated...."
Participants are asked to bring a copy of writing that they may want to give as a gift. During the workshop the samples will be discussed and suggestions made for improvement.
Julie will show participants how to give their writing gifts "sparkle" through the use of color, art, stickers, and special holiday-themed paper. There will also be discussion of the best and least expensive ways to bind these gifts.

Nesmith Library Story Hour registration for 3-6 year olds will take place tomorrow, 9/22. Numbers will be handed out beginning at 9:00 am. You must register in-person at the library. There are still openings for Toddler Story Time for children 18 months to 3 years and their caregivers, call the library at 432-7154 for more information.
Nesmith Library Next Tuesday, 9/15, we will be holding a Social Security Seminar in our multipurpose room at 7:00 pm. The speaker will be Kenneth Baron, of the Social Security Administration office in Keene. This seminar is being sponsored by Don Sommese Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's Global Wealth Management Group Office in Manches...ter. Admission is free.
