No I don't know anything about Linux at all! I decided to try it because i want to learn programing! I have learnt that python is installed in my system! But how to start it? Thanks for the reply! Please add me to your list so that we can discuss it! And please mention 'python' please! -Sid

Python is installed by default in Ubuntu. A lot of programs depend on it. Did you uninstall python or do you need an IDE to be able to write python code. If you need an IDE try installing IDLE from the package manager.
