Windows Linux Mac Tips Python is installed by default in Ubuntu. A lot of programs depend on it. Did you uninstall python or do you need an IDE to be able to write python code. If you need an IDE try installing IDLE from the package manager.

Saketh - I'm glad my unbiased opinion (haha) helped convince you to give Linux a try. If you are worried about messing up your current OS, I would suggest using another computer that you can just play on (you can never have enough computers!) or try using a Wubi. For the next few Linux Friday's, I will be writing on ...how to do everything in the new version of Ubuntu if you need some help just let us know.
