Windustry Here's the 350 photo collection for North America. It's an awesome slideshow. The Hull Wind I banner that Windustry supported (shown in previous post) made it in!

Windustry 350 is the most important number in the world--it's what scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This is Hull Wind I, a 660-KW wind turbine on "Windmill Point" in the small town of Hull, Massachusetts.

Okay, I will tolerate your opinion if you tolerate mine. I support the wind industry, as I said, but I don't believe that global warming/climate change is man-made. There is just not enough factual evidence, and too many inputs not considered, to convince me.
If you can accept that, I'll stay and we can have honest debate about it. If not, I'll wish you well, but will continue to fight the big lie.

Windustry is not involved with political arguments about the cause of climate change, and this isn't a discussion board for such issues. We're just bringing together supporters of our mission: Windustry promotes progressive renewable energy solutions and empowers communities to develop and own wind energy as an environmentally sustainable asset, and we work to remove the barriers to broad community ownership of wind energy.

Windustry Remember that blade outside The Eco Experience? See a video of a 1.5 MW turbine with a blade that size being put up in Colorado by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Read about it at http://www.nrel.gov/features/20090821_turbines.html NREL will study this turbine and a 2.3 MW turbine (that's huge!) throughout the next few years.

Engineers are installing the two largest turbines ever tested at the National Wind Technology Center — a 1.5 MW turbine manufactured by General Electric and a 2.3 MW turbine from Siemens Power Generation.
