Wintergreen Winery ...finally, the rain has stopped and the wind has died down. Weather forecast for this weekend looks great - sunny with highs in the upper 60's to low 70's. Come out, enjoy some wine & picnic by the Rockfish River. The river is quite full and rocking & rolling today from all the rain. Beautiful to hear and see. Cheers!

Wintergreen Winery has a crockpot of our Gold medal winning Mill Hill Apple wine mulling with spices and brown sugar so come on by for a complimentary taste of the "recipe". Perfect for such a beautiful autumn day! Open daily 10am until 5pm.
Wintergreen Winery will meet Nelson County's native son Earl Hamner, writer and producer of The Waltons, Falcon's Crest and more. Mr. Hamner will visit from California for a special evening this Thursday to benefit The Hamner Theater. "This event is made possible, in part, by the generosity of... Wintergreen Winery (makers of Earl Hamner...'s favorite wine)." Mr. Hamner loves our Black Rock Chardonnay Reserve and we'll be sure to raise a glass (or two) with him!

Wintergreen Winery 's Mill Hill Apple wine was awarded a GOLD medal at the 2009 "Wines of the South" Wine Competition! Silver medals were bestowed on the wonderful 2008 Black Rock Chardonnay Reserve & our Raspberry dessert wine. Both the 2008 Raven's Roost Cabernet Franc & the 2008 Brent's Mountain Merlot received Bronzes. If you're in t...he area, come by for a complimentary tasting of these award winners & all of our hand crafted wines.
Melissa Seabolt was at wintergreen first week of august for our honeymoon, loved the Mill Hill Apple, had a wonderful time.
Wintergreen Winery is OPEN DAILY year round and that means every day :-) ...except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. We close an hour earlier during the months of November through March so new hours as of today are 10am until 5pm. Cheers!
