Women on Wheels Heidi is a client of Alameda Bicycles' and an amazing cyclist. Earlier this year she purchased her first "fancy" road bike and Women's Adventure Magazine published a story from her early days on the bike. She is also a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, mother of two girls. If that wasn't enough she also gave... up her automobile entirely and replaced it with a family of cyclists!

Team Murder has many members with a few now on the east coast. The team is comprised mainly of messengers and ex-messengers who compete in various races in the bay area and beyond.

Welcome to WOW! Based out of Alameda Bicycle we are a bunch of cyclistas bonitas that dig bikes. We started this google group so that you can share your own cycling info and experience with others and ask questions.
Women on Wheels
Giant Bicycles is hauling out their demo rig and bringing some bicycles to Joaquin Miller Park. WOW will be a hosting a ride from the park, you may use one of their demo bikes or bring your own.
The event starts at 9AM, and I'll be there till 11AM but the demo bikes will be available till 4PM. They'll have everything fr...om road and cross bikes to cross country and downhill bikes.
The event is free, bring your gear, the ride is no drop (i.e. no woman left behind). Beginner friendly, I'll stop as necessary to answer questions and demonstrate bike handling skills.

Women on Wheels
We'll be meeting at Alameda Bicycle to learn about the basics of bike handling when it comes to riding on dirt. Beginners are greatly encouraged to attend. Even if you don't ride dirt, you may learn something new. Many of the principles carry over to pavement riding. You won't need to bring your bike.
If you've been shr...edding the gnar singletrack for awhile now, you'll probably be bored but are still more than welcome to hang out at our casual event.
Event is free, delicious snacks provided.
