Women's Health Matters Get on board and travel to Washington, D.C. on Dec. 2 for women’s health care.
Insurance coverage of abortion care is in jeopardy!

Join Family Planning Advocates, Planned Parenthood and supporting organizations from around the country for a National Lobby Day on Capitol Hill to let our leaders know that we will not stan...d for health care reform that takes away health care benefits from women.

Fight the Stupak Ban. Named for Congressman Bart Stupak (D-MI), this anti-abortion amendment became part of the health care reform bill passed by the House of Representatives on Sat. Nov. 7.

If the Stupak Ban becomes law, millions of women will be prohibited from using their own money to buy private health insurance that provides comprehensive reproductive health care benefits. There has been no greater restriction on women's health in more than 30 years!

Congress needs to hear from YOU, your family and your friends!

We have to stand against this outrageous act — so please, if you can, join us on Dec. 2 in Washington, D.C., to Stop Stupak!

Travel with a group of friends and fellow activists to the Capitol on Dec. 2.

Meet with your Member of Congress or their staff, which we’ll arrange for you.

Be seen and heard at a major rally and press conference on the Hill.

Pose for photo opportunities showing the power we have to stand up to attacks against women’s health.

Encourage friends and family to get on board, too!

Invest in a day to protect women’s health care benefits for all Americans.
We will travel together in transportation arranged by FPA, leaving Albany sometime after midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 2. After some shut-eye along the way, we will stop for breakfast to get geared up for the day’s events and arrive in Washington in time for a briefing, then begin our lobby visits. We anticipate heading home by mid-afternoon. You’ll definitely be back before midnight.

We have to stand up and speak out — so please, if you can, join us on Dec. 2 in Washington, D.C., to Stop Stupak!
