Women's Health for Life Dr. Donnica answered more viewer questions in today's Good Morning America Health segment. Not surprisingly, most were H1N1 vaccine & flu related. I was surprised that none were about the new mammography guidelines! Plus: stay tuned for my upcoming appearance on "The Dr. Oz Show". Several blogs have reported that ...I'm taping a CFS segment tomorrow which is true, but it won't air for 2+ weeks.

Women's Health for Life I'm swamped with calls/emails about the new mammography guidelines. My take: The USPTF is correct: most women in their 40's & 50's DON"T "need" mammograms, just the women who have breast cancer. BUT, the only way to know who has breast cancer is with a mammogram (or MRI or ultrasound or biopsy). I will continue to... have annual mammograms & to recommend them to women in their 40's, 50's & beyond.
