Words without Borders, Inc is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the translation, publication, and promotion of contemporary international literature.
WWB publishes Words without Borders: The Online Magazine of International Literature, a monthly publication of the world's best writing.
In addition Words without Borders works with publishing houses to produce anthologies. Our past anthologies include, Literature from the "Axis of Evil" Writing from Iran, Iraq, North Korea, and Other Enemy Nations, and Words Without Borders: The World Through the Eyes of Writers. In October 2009 we will release the Wall in My Head: Words and Images from the Fall of the Iron Curtain 2010 will see the release of the Ecco Anthology of Interenational Poetry, edited by WWB, and an unnamed collection of work from the Islamic World.
Words without Borders is also developing materials to help educators bring contemporary international literature into the classroom. We also host events in New York City and elsewhere.
