WorkLink is funded through the 1998 Workforce Investment Act (WIA), of the federal government. The WIA reformed previous workforce systems and is intended to help Americans access the tools needed to manage their careers through information and high-quality services. In addition, the WIA is designed to help U.S. companies find skilled workers.
