World Diabetes Day, November 14, marks the birthday of Dr. Frederick Banting, who, along with Dr. Charles Best, co-discovered insulin in 1921, forever changing the lives of people with diabetes around the world.
Together, the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and founding sponsor Novo Nordisk Canada are marking the day by honouring and celebrating Diabetes Champions.
