Yetta G. Kurland Wow.
This video is amazing and kudos to my 70 year old mother for
introducing me to it! It opens the door for the opportunity... Dan is
exactly right our our liberation is their liberation and in fact
marriage can be defined however we as a society or as individuals wish
to define it and so in fact, the liberation of...
the ...LGBT community is the liberation of our straight allies and perhaps
it is time for an overhaul of the entire instution of marriage for all
of us to get rid of the sexism and inequity within it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tM0Pg_KKV8

Yetta G. Kurland Choice you say good sir? Well I should hope we all have the choice to
marry who we want to marry, I hope you had that choice, I would
certainly fight for your right to do so. But let us not forget the
history of the social contract called marriage and that the legal right
to marry for love, our right to "choose" is relativ...ely new to all, gay
or ... Read Morestraight,
historically speaking. Most importantly I am always impressed by the
strength and courage of the straight allies who show up for their LGBT
brothers and sisters, as we all know, love, respect, admire and are
touched by at least one person who is lesbian, gay, bisexual or
transgender, and it is the sign of weakness and poverty to seek to
deprive others of their civil rights. Marriage is nothing more than a
social contract. Please remember the profound suffering of those who do
not have those basic fundamental rights. To get just a glimpse of
horrors they face I hope you will take a moment to read this... http://blog.mattalgren.com/2009/09/hospital-forces-lesbian-to-die-alone/

Yetta G. Kurland Perhapsthe most imaginative description of me in the media while on thecampaign trail came from none other than Kathleen Horan of WNYC..."[Kurland] has short spiky hair and closes the cuffs on her dressshirts with cufflinks. For those of you... ...that grew up in the seventies, she looks sort of like a modern day “Monc...hichi” –and younger than her 41 years. http://blogs.wnyc.org/news/2009/09/08/two-challengers-to-quinns-3rd-district-seat/
