To all younger women - You may not remember or have heard about what happens when women have no choice over their reproductive rights.
It's easy to think that it only happens to "those women", but it is a fact (Guttenmacher Institute) that 1/3 of American women have had an abortion during their life.
The reasons are al......ways complicated and difficult, but at least it is up to the individual woman to decide, not a Congressman, Senator or Supreme Court Justice in Washington. The Stupak-Pitts Amendment virtually makes access to abortion impossible for insurance companies to cover or doctors to provide.
Ask your mother or your grandmother what it was like before women had a choice. And this is not just about abortion. EC (emergency contraception) and birth control are next on the list of services that will be denied insurance coverage.
Planned Parenthood is about much more than abortion. About 2% of our services are abortions. 98% of our work and services are about prevention and education.
Like our president, we hope for a country in which abortion is rare, but safe.

All The Kings Men is an all female performance troupe from Boston, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of gender stereotyping and identity through comedic and dramatic story telling set to music.
The event is being sponsored by York College of PA's Lambda organization and Planned Parenthood of Central PA (PPCP).
THE CURV......E is a support program for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning youth and their allies who are between the ages of 14 and 21. We provide a safe, supportive, welcoming and fun environment for advocacy and educational and recreational activities.
THE CURVE meets every other Thursday from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the York health center.
