Harry Reid is working hard to muscle ObamaCare through the Senate. The AP reports on Rand Paul's early promise in the KY senate race.  However, a weakening dollar and rising oil prices point to additional current inflation-related problems. Walter Block is fighting diverso-fascism, and in style. Good for Michele Bachmann for "moving around" the spineless GOP leadership in her political activity....

At first glance, opposition to the celebration of Veterans Day seems both callous and untoward. There is good reason for any compassionate human being to empathize with American soldiers in harm's way, and especially dead and maimed US troops. War's cost to humanity cannot be quantified; perhaps there was an Einstein or Ghandi among the piles of dead in Iraq or the mentally dysfunctional at Walter Reed....

Last year, I was privileged to go to CPAC, where I met a number of great new political friends.  But the crowning moment of my experience was noticing the huge line waiting for Dr. Paul to speak. It was amazing how many people wanted to see him given his gloomy economic predictions, most of which had not yet proven true.  Here's part one of his speech from last year's summit:

The House of Representatives voted Saturday for a Democratic health bill that included a public option, and costs trillions of dollars. However, there was one Republican that voted for the bill, and that was Joseph Cao of Louisiana. As of this writing, mainstream Republicans are outraged that Cao would vote for such a bill because they demanded a no vote....
