For many at Indiana University-Kokomo, this was the first time the word "Communism" was brought to the forefront of their attention.  Some didn't know what Communism is or was, some didn't care, but many were happy that we were demonstrating and took the time to take over 100 YAR magazines and 400 fliers off our hands....  With a school population of about 3,000, we probably exposed over half to our demonstration. ...Read More

How pathetic that any current college students don't know what communism is. College is suppose to be for HIGHER Education. How can you get into college without any basic knowledge of world history. Very worrisome for our future.Glad that at the very least the Young Americans for Liberty did what high school education apparently didn't do"Educate".

Thanks for the effort... the massive onslaught of individuals across the country does not go unnoticed... and it does make a difference and continues to inspire us who do know to continue the struggle. Keep up the good work and thank you for being patriots!

Harry Reid is working hard to muscle ObamaCare through the Senate. The AP reports on Rand Paul's early promise in the KY senate race.  However, a weakening dollar and rising oil prices point to additional current inflation-related problems. Walter Block is fighting diverso-fascism, and in style. Good for Michele Bachmann for "moving around" the spineless GOP leadership in her political activity....

Unless you have had you head buried in the sand for the last decade, I'm sure you've noticed evironmentalist calls for government regulations to slow "climate change." Since the failure of the Kyoto Treaty, environmentalists have tried to drastically reshape American law to combat those "evil corporations" and "needles...s consumers" who seek to eat the planet from the inside out....Read More

At first glance, opposition to the celebration of Veterans Day seems both callous and untoward. There is good reason for any compassionate human being to empathize with American soldiers in harm's way, and especially dead and maimed US troops. War's cost to humanity cannot be quantified; perhaps there was an Einstein or Ghandi among the piles of dead in Iraq or the mentally dysfunctional at Walter Reed....

Last year, I was privileged to go to CPAC, where I met a number of great new political friends.  But the crowning moment of my experience was noticing the huge line waiting for Dr. Paul to speak. It was amazing how many people wanted to see him given his gloomy economic predictions, most of which had not yet proven true.  Here's part one of his speech from last year's summit:

The Congressional Budget Office will come out with the supposed total costs of the bill by the end of this week.  Senators will spend the weekend deciding how they should vote on the bill. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will spend the weekend bribing senators into voting yes and passing their preferred form of the bill....

How on earth can they actually think throwing someone in jail for not purchasing their idiotic health care plan is what is best for our country. OMG. What the hell happened to this country. You have crooks in office that get away with it, i.e. Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, but yet they go against the Constitution and what to throw citizens in jail. God help us please.

Everyone knows the feeling of having to pack up and move in a rush. Whether it is when you left for college, or just went to summer camp, there is always the feeling in the back of your mind that maybe I didn't bring enough of X or perhaps I forgot to bring Y.When this idea is shifted into the scope of military operations, the results have larger repercussions than having...

Miron offers a concise response to defenders of the "independence" of the FED:Congress cannot commit itself not to interfere, so the Fed will frequently react to the threat of interference. True independence is unlikely.A different question is whether independence is desirable. If you believe the Fed does only good things, then yes, but that is unlikely....

Our futile attempts at nation- and army-building in Afghanistan are deteriorating by the second. The obvious answer would be to pack up and leave all together, but conventional wisdom is not so conventional in Washington. Afghanistan's army can be considered a "sham" at best and only retrogress is being seen....

This is shocking, scary, and totally mortifying. There is going to be a treaty negotiated between December 7-14 that basically gives power to an international government over our federal government. This is what we've all written against constantly, but now they're really going to try to do it. The speaker here, Lord J...ohn Monckton, was a chief advisor to Margaret Thatcher in Great Britain and is speaking out against it in...Read More

As I sat back Saturday night and watched, vote after vote, my liberties just being brushed away, I couldn't help but think of 1984.  While the Patriot Act has been my measuring stick for the Big Brother state up until this point, should the House health care bill pass the Senate I think I'll have a new guide of despotism. But, as Adam Murdok mentions as well as Tom Mullen, there is...

On Thursday, November 5th, 10,000+ people answered the calls from conservative leaders to come to Washington. In the spirit of Guy Fawkes Day, these supporters came to voice their opposition to government tyranny. However, instead of the king denying equal rights to Catholics, the reason for Fawke's attempted regicide,... it was their opposition to government control of their healthcare that drew these concerned citizens.Read More

The House of Representatives voted Saturday for a Democratic health bill that included a public option, and costs trillions of dollars. How could the Fort Hood shooter be opposed to war, but not to killing?  Perhaps in the same way other people are opposed to killing, but not to war. I haven't been following the Fort Hood story very closely, to be honest, so I don't have much commentary to offer on the situation in general.  However, this sort of puzzlement at an antiwar murderer is a reaction I've noticed, nicely summarized...

Ron Paul supports the doctrine of Just War. War is never a good thing, but sometimes it is necessary to destroy a great evil. The problem with almost every American war is that they are not Constitutional.

Barack Obama expects to impose "health care" on all of his subjects by the end of the year.
