Blueprint spotlight: Chris Ramos
In 2007, fees needed to become an American citizen were due to increase in California, limiting immigrants’ ability to become citizens. Chris Ramos used his Young People For (YP4) fellowship to organize drives in the Latino community to clarify the process of becoming a citizen.

Dear YP4,
For the past year, we have been working relentlessly to start a New Orleans based service organization. Our idea has received some funding, but we need serious seed money to bring our larger idea to fruition. One opportunity for funding has a voting component - which is where we could really use just a minute of your time.
There is only ONE DAY remaining to vote!! If you can please vote right away so that it doesn't slip your mind. If we make it to the second round, there will be another voting component, so please stay tuned and please don't get frustrated by our messages...It's all for a good cause!

We have openings for web and communications interns for the Spring 2009 semester. We'd love hear from students who have web design, blogging, and/or copy editing experience. Read the full description: http://www.youngpeoplefor.org/about/jobs
We are seeking NYC-based interns who are able to work either full- or part-time. We're happy to arrange academic credit. Our interns don't fetch coffee or make photocopies; we put interns to work in areas that interest them, such as creating newsletters, coding, blogging, conducting research and developing new web projects.
