Karinea

Karinea Could I suggest that you quote the original key and whether it's transposed for high or low, in all your recordings (not just high/low), as personally I don't like to sing anything transposed. I can't understand why people do that, when it is contrary to what the composer intended, and there are millions of other songs in the world to choose from.

We're absolutely with you on 'Key colour'. It has always been a big thing with us at Your Accompanist and we're pretty firm about it when it comes to opera and oratorio. The current trend for producing every key colour of the rainbow that electronic transposition and notation software have made possible is not one that we always feel 'in tune' with but equally, if someone asks for something transposed, we try to find a suitable solution.
