Reggie Watts shakes new meaning into what you can do with... a human voice, a microphone and a loop machine. Exploiting a jaw-dropping ten-octave vocal range he creates funky bass lines and soulful diva-esque vocals to underpin hilarious, off-the cuff riffs on everything from ancient history and technology, science and racism, to theology and pop culture. Channeling over 300 characters, his mix of improvised music, absurd comedy and visceral social commentary makes him a one-of–a-kind performer.
A super-comedian and one-man-band, Watts is like a tornado traversing hip-hop, trip-hop, 80s pop alternative, nu-metal and classical opera. No two songs or performances are ever the same, as he disorientates and stuns his audiences with a supernatural force.
After recent work with French chanteuse Camille of Nouvelle Vague, Arj Barker and Flight of the Concordes, Reggie’s National Tour includes appearances in Sydney Comedy Festival and a special performance with Brian Eno at Sydney Opera House.

Born in Germany and raised in the US, Reggie Watts is a classically trained pianist and jazz singer. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and frequently performs alongside Regina Spektor as well as Imogen Heap and the Dresden Dolls. Watts has recently worked with Brian Eno, toured with The Pharcyde, performed with Soulive and Black Eyed Peas, and regularly collaborates with Flight of the Concords’ Jermaine, Brent, Arj Barker, Kristen Schaal & Eugene Mirman. Reggie has produced numerous Broadband original series’ for Comedy Central, SuperDeluxe.com, IFC.com, YouTube Live and has performed musical recaps for the hit TV Series, Lost. Recently, Reggie co-created (with Tommy Smith) and performed in the theatre piece "Disinformation" at the 2008 Under The Radar Theatre Festival. Winner of the 2006 Andy Kaufmann Award and the 2005 Malcolm Hardee Award, Reggie has had two smash hit runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festivals the last two years and regularly performs to thrilled crowds throughout the US and Europe, in the best sense, unpredictable and indescribable…'a sonic Salvador Dali'.” www.chortle.co.uk

FDELs set was, as expected, almost too hip, & many supporters turned out to show the love and bid us farewell.
