I can't say I was shocked by this cartoon. I mean Miss Justice has been raped in one way or another by a politican somewhere in history. As always, Zapiro, what would sunny SA be without your drawings that give a voice to many. I'd love to see the follow-up please! Has it been published somewhere? (RE: LA Times: What are you drawing now?
YOU: I'm ... Read Moredrawing a direct follow-up cartoon. I've got the same scenario. They're all looking a lot more pious. Zuma is just gesturing at her. She looks very angry even though she's got a blindfold. I think I've succeeded. He's just saying, "But before we start, I just want to say how much I respect you.")

Source: Positive Balance I hate those politicians who use their voices to gripe, to bemoan the social-inequality South Africans encounter daily - however I hate one thing far more forced racial integration...

This is the result of a News 24 vote this week. A mere 7% thought that Zapiro went too far. The majority thought that he was spot on and 14% said it was just a cartoon. Enough said.

zapiro is da dawg!!! keep going man

South Africa is embroiled in a furious row over press freedom, after one of the country's top cartoonists depicted Jacob Zuma, the ANC leader and probable next president, undoing his trousers and about to rape a woman labelled "justice system"...

Yeah, I agree with both of you. People who say this cartoon is too harsh need some disillusionment. The harshness of the cartoon rerflects the seriousness of what it is about. I think this is one of the best cartoons in all satire; it's something that needs to be noticed and Zapiro brought it under attention. If I ever wore a hat I would take it off to him. Viva freedom of speech!!!

These are some of the places where this cartoon is being discussed online: JeremyNell.com...

Now thats what i call freedom of expression.

Though other cartoons may have been more politically correct, you can't deny the brilliance of this one. Zapiro has said what has been on all of our minds.
