Zimbabwe Young Leaders We wish you all a peaceful festive season and hope the new year will give you the strength, wisdom and will to change the things that were barriers to your progress. The famous words of Henry Kissinger were "Accept everything about yourself - I mean everything. You are you and that is the beginning and the end. No apologies, no regrets"

Zimbabwe Young Leaders Progress has been extremely slow to such an extent it came to a stand still. Been reflecting back to try and see why the steam ran out on ZYL, perhaps another project lacking the right management structures or could it be a simple case of lack of resources? How passionate are our young leaders in taking responsibility of our country?

Too much focus on the wrong objectives can produce disasterous results, when a plan fails to take off the ground the best thing to do is change strategy, bring in new ideas with a new approach carefully analysing past weaknesses and improving on those areas that could have been completed more successfully. A dream never dies, there will always be ... See Moreothers to carry that dream foward in a better and improved way. ZYL needs some TLC, perhaps it's time to look into making it a national youth league comprising leaders from student unions, trade unions, youth organisations across all disciplines and political- socio representation. Zimbabwe Young Leaders League. Have your say!

Very True Ashley! However such a national hopeful can never be left in the hands of just a few individuals hence the need for a broader perspective encompassing a larger involvement of individuals. What is key is the management of individual tasks and time towards achieving those set objectives. Without any set targets and time scales to attain ... See Morethem very little yet meaningful progress can be made. Another stumbling block was the relationship between volunteers on the ground in Zimbabwe and those at various global locations, co-ordinating activities through 'remote control' has minimal effect on driving the set objectives on the ground. In most cases human factor needs constant contact to be able to be excelled to higher levels of performance, Zimbabwean technological communications are not 100% reliable, this aids to the frustrate progress leaving only those with the determination and perserverance to struggle in their quest for success. We shall continue, more intelligently this time around. Aluta continua!
