craftelf Craft Tip of the Day: *When tracing and cutting out - be sure the side with the tracing lines becomes the back so no lines show on the front.

Mary Dryden Thank you the instructions for the no sew tie blanket were really just what I needed.

craftelf Craft Tip of the Day: *When cutting Styrofoam with a plastic knife - run the knife across wax, such as an old candle, to make it easier to cut through the Styrofoam.

craftelf Here is a preview of a new project which we are in the process of adding. Check back soon to see the complete step by step instructions for making Gingerbread Houses from Foam core.

craftelf Craft Tip of the Day: When spreading glue over a large area - squeeze some glue out of the bottle and spread with a popsicle stick, paintbrush or a foam brush (applicator).

craftelf Craft Tip of the Day: When using Glue Dots -press the item to be glued into the dot THEN peel the paper. If need be, cut apart the paper backing so that you have a piece of paper with just one dot on it. Then attach it to your item. Taking the dots off the paper and trying to stick them to your item causes them to loose some of their stickiness and they are difficult to handle this way.

craftelf Here is a great project for the kids and it's inexpensive too! Make Gingerbread Man Garland out of craft paper............... pattern included.

craftelf Painting tip of the day: When painting with fabric paint in squeeze bottles - to lessen the number of air bubbles, keep a paper towel nearby and before each use, tip the bottle of paint upside down and tap it gently on the paper towel. This will help remove any air from the tip of the bottle.
