dnnskins.com Oh my, testing these skins is a big job. Taking me much longer than I thought. This year's theme is for colour and fun. I want to change the dnnskins site and how the downloads work but I don't have a module sorted out yet. Anyone with any ideas?

I really like how onyakTech does it. If you are a paid subscriber you download using an explorer type interface.

dnnskins.com Ok I have a build of dnn 5.2.0 running with some skins uploaded - there are some behaviour differences in the icons with the dropdown menus - I think it's the ones using the solpart actions which may be referenced differently in DNN5.2.0. We have about 60 skins to test and upgrade but I will try to fit one Christmas sk...in in this week for our fans. Managing a dnn 5 build only will be much easier.

dnnskins.com Ok - time to update all our skins again and testing on DNN 5.2.0. We are looking at swapping out any solpart menus and putting in the new menu providers or perhaps some other ones. Big job - will be updating all the previews too.. Guess what I'm doing over Christmas!

David Lee McFeron I have installed the Free XDC Tranquility skin. I like it allot, but ever since I updated to version 5, it has a problem. Each of the module titles has the text cut off at the bottom. It cuts the legs off of letters like g, and q. I attempted to mess around with the skin.css, but couldn't find the class that updates that.

Please help.

Was this the latest version of dnn? we haven't tested all the skins yet for that version. Have you installed firebug for firefox.. the best problem finder you'll find when working out skin problems. I suspect there have been updates to the default.css file which might override the current skin settings. I am away on vacation in the US until 20th November.

Tim this question dates back to an older post further down the page but regards tables versus css and div - the problem being rendering differently in various browsers - I have had similiar problems on custom sites (Non DNN) and it had to do with how microsoft vs firefox counted margins, borders etc. - You designate a co...ntainer size and microsoft maintains it - any borders, margins, pad, etc. comes from the total of the container you spec. Firefox maintains the total space for the container and if you add any of the above, it gets added to the overall dimensions of the container - I think that is still true, have not heard anything different - I got exasperated and reverted to tables at the advice of a CSS guru on another forum - I was building 2 websites for the price of one - creating 2 different css files and using a rule that the last css listed takes priority and then another quirk that firefox would not acknowledge a line of code but microsoft would

dnnskins.com I'll be in the US for a holiday but my guys are working on updating dnnskins.com. We will have some new skins and menus available for sale and our 'non module' slider tutorial will be available for sale for a few dollars, including skin, code and PSD file. If you want to catch up with me in Las Vegas around Open Force times, let me know.

dnnskins.com Ok my goodness it's been a tough few weeks!! I have finally sorted out the dnnskins.com login and password retrieval issue. Site went foobar when I upgraded the shopping cart to allow for better file download management. Where has this last month gone!

dnnskins.com Guys - been set back a bit with a hard drive issue. Taken up our time, so I don't want to start generating any more traffic with emails out. Have been working offline though, so when out tech issues are resolved we'll be pushing out some cool information. Thanks for your support! Nina
