Gloria

Gloria This might sound ironic, but after yesterday's advice, I bought the software, I have backed up my iPod library to an external hard drive (not my iTunes library) and then... my iPod has cracked it, not as a result of the software, it was just a coincidence. So I am going to have to restore the factory settings on my iPo...d, which of course means erasing everything on it. So, can I then transfer the music from the external hard drive back to my iPod? How do I get it all back? HELP!

Gloria Can you use this software to back up your iPod to an external drive instead of copying it on to your hard drive? I have been looking for a while for a way to back up my iPod, but I do not want the contents of my iPod on my hard drive because of space. How would this work in that instance?

Yes you can. If you select to manually manage you can then modify the preferences to import to any location that you wish.

Once you've modified the preferences simply press the "import all" arrow next to the Music item.
