Mirage is hosting the lovel...y and talented ladies of Hipnotic for 2 workshops on Saturday, Nov. 21st. The topics will be Combos (Action Extraction) and Floorwork. Stay tuned for more details!

9-10 am: Shopping/Registration
10 - 12pm: Combos (Action Extraction!)
12 - 1pm: Lunch/Shopping
1 - 3pm: Floor work

That night there will be a show featuring Hipnotic, Il Troubadore, Mirage Bellydancers, and other local dancers. If you are interested in performing, please contact Amirah @ amirahfusion@gmail.com by at least Nov. 15. There will be open dancing, vending by Donna Carlton, and a Henna Artist as well!

Prices:

Before Nov. 6th $30/workshop; $50 both
After Nov. 6th $35/workshop; $60 both

(For BSUBD students: $15/workshop; $20 both before 11/6, $20/$30 after)

Action Extraction - Cues From Choreography 10am - 12pm

How many times have you taken a workshop with a 5 minute choreography? How many times do you remember the choreography? That's what we thought - we don't remember them either! This workshop is designed to help you pull out choreography moves that you want to tribalize! Learn how to identify the beginning, middle and end of the move and ideas on HOW to end them. Use this skill to create moves from your favorite Belly Dancing DVDs!!!

What you can expect from us:
• wacky, experienced, safety oriented teacher(s)
• workshop notes detailing what you will learn
• basic movements broken down into details
• break down combos created from basic movements
• the occasional screw up of right and left
What we expect from you:
• you will protect yourself from getting hurt
• you will bring water
• you will inform the teacher of any injuries that may interfere with any movements
• you will bring a positive attitude, open mind and patience for the occasional screw up
• you will enjoy yourself!

Down n' Dirty - The Ups and Downs of Floorwork 1pm - 3pm

Want to know how Hipnotic really gets down? Down N' Dirty will give you ideas on how to get down, get up and all the fun (and funny) stuff in between. This workshop will give you new ways to get down and up and cover creative floor movement. Don't be afraid of the floor. It won't bite. But we might!

• movements to get down to the floor (passing out is NOT an option)
• movements to do when you get down there
• movements that move you around on the floor
